Team Griffin

new season
of golf
starts
4 the kids
this week

can't wait

i have
always
wondered
what the
big deal
about golf
was

my husband
has had a
love affair
with it
4 quite
some time
now

i made
the mistake
early on in
our marriage
of taking lessons
from my beloved
husband thinking
i may see him
more if i
get 2 know the
mistress better

but it backfired
and after
many 4 letter
words that
did not include
FORE
and even
some broken
clubs i decided
it was not the
sport 4 me

14 years later
after spending
countless hours
on the
beautiful
peaceful
serene
courses in
the valley

and learning
more love for
the game as
i see the
respect
honesty and
diligence
my kids are
learning as
they also fall
deeply in love

i am starting
to reconsider
golf
is the
#1 sport our
whole family
can play
i have decided
to be a team
player

so i took the
advice from
our favorite
coach "Sam"
which was
never take
lessons from
those you love
the most

such great
advice
can't believe
what I have
been missing
out on 4
so many years

and before you
know it
THE GRIFFIN
FOURSOME
will soon B
the team 2
beat

and as for
the mistress...
well let's just
say Tiger will
have more
company

The sky is the limit

somewhere between
kindergarten and
cupcakes...

through much
practice
perseverance
and patience

dreams do
come true

and what
once seemed
to be very
unachievable

finally
happened

she was
ecstatic
my heart
is proud

and we
have been
celebrating
ever since

it may sound
silly to
some

but to us
this is as
good as
winning the
super bowl

P.S. To those who have e-mailed me about this subject, I do have a lot of tips, and I will be getting back to you very soon! This is why I decided to even post on this subject. I don't like labels, but a diagnosis is very essential in getting your child the help they need especailly in school. I have been helped by so many, and will do anything I can to help those of you with questions.

A Darling Daughter

ADD
is not easy

it can make
the simplest
tasks seem
enormous

it can lower
one's self
esteem
and pass
unfair
judments

it can
bring out
the worst
in even
the most
patient
of us all

it has the
ability
2 bring
out the
"mother bear"
in me

it has opened
my eyes
to a new way
of thinking

for that
i am
grateful

4 she teaches
me more than
i will ever
teach her

during one
of our
routine
marathons
of homework

i was tired
frustrated
and somewhat
curious

so i asked

when you
are in class
and your mind
is somewhere
else

what are you
thinking

well you know
like if my
teacher likes
cupcakes

or who
orders all
the paper
for the
school

and i am
left 2
question

seriously
why did i
not think of
that

i'll tell
you why
because
i never
ventured
outside
of the
box

i have no
doubt that
someday she
will have
all the
answers to
the secrets
of life

and
my life
will always
be blessed
because she
is in it

We heart Biggest Loser

miss tylie
learned one
of life's most
important lessons
in kindergarten

lucky girl
4 it is a
lesson that
takes many of
us a lifetime
to figure out

that it truly
is only what's
on the inside
that really
counts

FAT has been
a cuss word
in our house
ever since

4 it wasn't
only her that
learned a
very important
lesson that
day

biggest loser
is a
family fave
we love 2
fall in love
with the
contestants

and cheer
them on and
watch as they
teach the world
what tylie
learned
in kindergarten

as they
also add
many
years to
their own
life's by
doing so

nothing beats
inspiration
education
motivation

all from the
comfort of
our own couch

I have a dream...

the assignment
was simple really
draw something that
you have a dream
about...

quite fitting for
the most
recent holiday

we filtered
through the
contents of
his backpack
as we do
most everyday

why are you
crying he
asked with
concern all
over his face

because I too
have the very
same dream, son

i'm sure this
was far from
what the teacher
had in mind

but i got it
instantly
no need for
explanation

because i
am also
tate missing...

Bring on the rain

"Anyone who says
sunshine brings
happiness...has
never danced in
the rain"

It is raining
in the desert
I miss the rain,
very calming 2 me

Gives me a
great excuse
to cuddle up,
with a good book
and a kiddo on
each side

I would bottle
up the smell
if I could
And I love how
clean it leaves
the earth

And even better
is catching a
glimpse of
a rainbow through
the storm.
