Don't Blink

there was a time
when i had a perfect
little two year old
and a baby who never
stopped screaming

many times i had
2 lay the baby down
and go into my
room and cry myself

and then when that
baby got old enough
2 mess with perfect
toddlers toys
she was suddenly
not so perfect
anymore

and then i had
2 hard 2 handle
little toddlers

who i wouldn't
have taken a
million dollars
for, yet at that
very moment probably
would not have
paid 5 cents
for 2 more
just like them

there are times
i miss those days
and wondered if
my hard work would
ever pay off

we have so much
fun together
these days

the screaming
episodes are
few and far
between

it is now older
sister who
likes 2 get
underneath the
skin of younger
brother

the best part
is when i can
drag them 2 a
movie i want
2 see...
and they enjoy
it too

and even better
is when i look
up 2 find this


i promise you
all my young
friends

it is worth it!
