O.k. now that I took a whole day, and did pretty much absolutely NOTHING!!! I am now very well rested, and have fully recuperated from all of the partying! We had such a great weekend with friends and family! The baptism went well (even though his hand came up so he had to go under twice), and I was very proud of both of my boys! I am lucky enough to have a worthy husband, who is also a GREAT daddy to both of my kids!
We were lucky enough to have Cole's family here. We would have loved to have mine, but they were not able to come, because of work schedules. But we took who we could get! They started trickling in on Thursday. On Thursday night we went to the Silverton buffet called the Seasons. It is one of my favorite places to eat, so I love any excuse to go there. Here is Teigen with the mermaids there.
Here they are in our "favorite" store, The Bass Pro Shop
On Friday the girls got lots of shopping in while the boys went golfing! It was fun and grandma spoiled the kids! Hello Kitty store is our favorite, and I think between the both of us we bought the store out! Later that night we went to the Bellagio to see the water and light show, and then we walked through the botanical gardens with all of the beautiful flowers. They change this with every season. This one was themed around trains, and the kids loved it! You would think since we live here we would make it to these places more often. But the truth is, it is a treat for us also, because we NEVER go to the strip. Unless we have visitors.
The baptism was on Saturday, after that we all came back to our house for dinner. Justiels parents were in town so they were able to come over also. It was great to see them! It has been a long time. We all come from the same town, and are actually even related, but it has been a long time! We all ate, and ate, and ate, and visited and ate some more!
And no the same dresses on the "same" day were not planned! This is what happens when you shop with your friends!
Teigen got lots of fun things, a really cool tie pin, bank, baptism scrapbook, cards, money, scriptures, and even some honey buns!!(His favorite)! Everyone was so thoughtful. Thanks for making his day so special! We also have a wonderful primary presidency, and Jennifer Judd brought him over this cute little scrapbook all about him, and a white towel with his name on it for after the baptism. He was so impressed, and told everyone about it! And Chelsey here he is totally stoked that he FINALLY get's to see what was in your package!
The girls also fit in some WATER time!! Very fitting for a HOT day!
Then later that night after we all just chilled for a while. And after we had all fit in a cat nap or two, we went to The District because Cole's mom really wanted to go to Williams Sonoma,so the girls shopped there for a while, and the boys went to the Golf store! Tylie even scored herself some new clubs! Her daddy is a pushover! And then we went to the Cheesecake Factory to eat. It was YUMMY FOOD, and Cole made a scene singing the Little Mermaid to all of us in a very loud voice! Don't Ask! Anyway after that we went to Treasure Island to watch the Pirate Show. It was fun, but very very HOT! Even at 10:00 at night! Welcome to VEGAS!!! Teigen all of the sudden has a new love for photography, and pretty much took over my camera this weekend! He even took this pic while we were eating! Not bad for an 8 year old!
Thanks to everyone for making it such a memorable event!!! We missed all those who could not be there! CONGRATULATIONS Teigen, we love you!!!
